Regulations

Madison River Communications provides communications services under the names of Madison River Communications, LLC; Mebtel, Inc.; Gallatin River Communications, LLC; Coastal Utilities, Inc.; Gulf Telephone Company; Gulf Long Distance, Inc.; and Coastal Long Distance Services, Inc. These operations are regulated by the Federal Communications Commission for interstate service and by the state regulatory commission in each state in which they provide service.

Tariffs

Madison River Communications provides communications services under tariffed rates and terms. Tariffs are filed with the FCC and various state commissions for local, access and toll services. The tariffs may be viewed at certain company locations and copies may be obtained from the FCC document contractor or from the various state regulatory commissions.

Organizations

Madison River Communications is an active participant in state and national industry organizations, including the Illinois Telephone Association, the Alabama/Mississippi Telephone Association, the Georgia Telephone Association, the North Carolina Telephone Association, OPASTCO, NECA, NRTC and USTA.
